Maybe, but I spoke to Ash personally regarding this on the 16th April 2014 in case he hadn't seen which he hadn't. I stated that I had now spoken to him and that is only 7 days ago.

I don't know why it's such a huge issue anyway, have users not got better things in their lives to worry about other than getting an e-mail when they receive a PM? Dunno

It's not just a PM Stan, I'm only subscribed to about three threads at the moment, and the notifications are sporadic at best. If people don't know that threads have been replied to, they don't come to the site. No-one on the site = no site.

I wasn't aware it needed explaining.

I locked myself out over the weekend (forgot password - did a reset but never received the notification). It now seems to be working (so I can post this!), but don't know if it's fixed the subscription issue.

This site is kinda how Stan sees Eastern Europeans - it works occasionally, but most of the time it sits around not doing what it's told and taking our money.

This may be a valid point, although I had kinda hoped that Ash would have seen it for himself before me contacting him.
It became obvious last week that he hadn't, so I drew it to his attention. Hardly a major issue I feel.

You pay £5 a year, hardly a lot is it? If you paid £5 a day, I'd say you had a point about being fast acting on dealing with issues. Yes

It means you are defrauding ash of his membership fees by turning people away from the site.

Guess who's a massive hypocrite?

Nigel farage, his wife is an immigrant "stealing" our jobs.

I guess the bottom line here is simple...

You've raised an issue, it hasn't been dealt with, so in the end I have *personally* contacted the Forum Owner regarding it who had told me he will look into it.

I have no control over forum code/bugs/fixes/programming absolutely zilch.

Therefore, I've raised the issue with Ash and that is ALL I CAN DO.
If he fixes it, great. I suspect you'll be happy (until you find something else to moan about), if he doesn't, well then I guess he doesn't and there is nothing that you (or I) can do about it.

At the end of the day, it's an Internet forum and personally I'm not going to lose sleep over whether or not I get an e-mail notification today or not. I have better things to be doing than worrying about that.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if issues bother you that much to the point you feel the need for daily moaning then please, contact Ash. That's all I am going to be able to do if you ask me or any other Admin member to resolve whatever problem you may have with the software system.

However, personally, I've got more of a life off of here not to sit concerned about it.

Why?

All I'm merely pointing out is the fact that despite what some people think, Admin do not have all the answers or capabilities/access to things that you think we might/should have.

It's just a simple case of waiting for Ash to get the issue sorted. I'm not him, so I can't tell you (honestly) whether that will be today, tomorrow, next week or next year. Or possibly ever.

However, what I can do is to tell you that I've spoken to him and he has said that he will look into the problem. I can do no more I'm afraid, but just wait - like the rest of you. Smile
