Folks, mi starter is broken. It turned fine, but it didnt engage the flywheel. I took it off, open it, and the plastic "crown" on the bendix is broken in 3 pieces.
I couldnt find anywhere that part, and im finding real hard t find a new or used starter. (Im in Uruguay)

I read somewhere, all XU engine starters fit, i checked the servicebox, and there are lots of models, Valeo, Bosch, etc...
Mine is a Bosch 0 001 108 130. I have about 15 part numbers, and cant find one of them!!! Other than paying a ridiculous amount of money at the Peugeot dealer, and wait 2 weeks until they bring it.

In a spare parts store, they offered me a Valeo D7R2, says it fits, but how can I know for sure? I cant find a place, not even in Valeo´s or Bosch site, the information of the starters!!
Can someone help me with this? Where can i find the technical information of the starters, to compare if they work?
Im starting to get real nervous, it´s been over 2 weeks now, i can´t find a solution.
Thanks

Well, this is what I found out about the Valeo D7R2 starter:
12V, 2.0KW
9>12 teeth
Works for XUD9 engines

Guess it´ll work fine right? Doesnt matter how many teeth it has? Mine has 9 and this one may have 10 or 11, but guess it also fits.
Thanks

XUD9 starters are interchangeable with ours. Yes

the only issue here is that people are just chucking new/used ones on for £10 as there is no shortage of them. i'm sure a guide would be cool though

Yep, different "realities". Here in my country there are only 2 gti-6. No spares whatsoever.
Only found 1 place who had a used ZX 2.0 16v starter, and wanted over £100!!! And a new one costed about £300 Shock

Anyway, it would be wise to open and do a little maintenace of the starter when you buy a used one, before you install it. A good cleaning, lubrication and new carbons Thumbs up

I`ll build a guide then and put it up
