Hi all,

Taking receivership of a work van very soon, so my Xsara VTR HDI 3dr Coupe is up for sale.

Have some paperwork for repairs/parts. And quite a few old MOT's. Along with service book+manual etc.

Bit of history about the car, I bought this car from my brother at roughly 108k. My brother bought it from someone in Basingstoke with head gasket failure at about 100k.

Head gasket has been done by Kris B (French car specialist) whilst in my brothers ownership. This included head skim and pressure test, multi layer steel head gasket, camshaft oil seal, valve stem seals, injector washers, inlet manifold + exhaust manifold + water manifold + rocker cover gaskets, cambelt itself, tensioner + idler, waterpump, coolant, oil and filter change. This was all done around the 100k point with receipt to prove.

Whilst in my brothers ownership, he also had a Powerflow stainless steel full exhaust fitted and now it runs a decat also. Deleted/bypassed the EGR. Worth mentioning that there is NO DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL on these models Smile
Car has been remapped by HDI tuning/pug306.net resident. This involved my brother downloading the map from the car using Lexia software, sending the map to the tuner, who modified it, sent it back, and re-uploaded to the ECU.

Car pulls very very well indeed. And is a night and day difference to how it was before, and in some situations actually pulls harder than my gti6 did LOL. Its a very good map to be fair, only smokes slightly under full load so seems a pretty clean map. Passed MOT emissions too no problem.
Maf sensor has also been replaced. Was an ebay part so no receipt.

Car is very economical, I have been using at my workhorse for work, and its never let me down. Consistently gives 600-650 miles a tank, mostly motorway with a full boot load of equipment. So I would expect more when empty.
Car comes with half a tank of fuel.

In my ownership, I have had the coolant housing on the side of the cylinder head replaced as it cracked one day and started leaking. This cost around £250 iirc, but I'm still trying to find the receipt for that work.
I have in the last month or so put two new tyres on the front. Rears have plenty of tread also.
I also gave it an oil change at 112k. Car now sits on 119k.

Car would make an excellent work horse for someone, and being the VTR, comes in 3door, with charcoal/red cloth interior, carbon effect dash and white dials, and spoiler.
Bodywork is a little bruised. Most notably is the dints on the drivers wing. This never bothered me as its literally just been a work car for me. Also worth mentioning that the driver wing mirror is a manual one and not electric (seems to have been replaced at some point).

Drivers door card is in need of a plastic clip to hold it on as currently its hanging off a bit. Interior is fairly good, bit of sag in the passenger side chair at the back of it.

One bad point that is worth me mentioning that the car did cut out on me once while giving it full beans in 3rd gear at 3.5k rpm. This illuminated the engine management light, car started up fine after letting it rest for 2 mins. And the light went out. Has not done it since but, we looked on Lexia and the fault came up as P112, which I believe may have something to do with either an injector issue or fuel rail issue.

But its only done it the once on me, and has not reared its head since. Car drives great besides that one incident.

Any other questions please ask away.

£1095 ONO.

Chris
