Yeah I should of done him the honours LOL
makes me wonder if id gone not guilty would I of got away with it , was there a reason they didn't enforce the higher charges, did they have no legal proof I was speeding, eg was the car behind not calibrated or whatever politics are involved.

LOL Clapping

She divorced him after that then? Unsure

No. She divorced him after he broke her favourite mug. It was a cream egg one. It was the final straw, apparently.

Few years back I got caught going 105mph on the M1 north bound and had to go to Wakefield court.

I got a total of 280 quid fine including the other fee's you have to pay and I got a 7 day ban and 0 points.

Pretty lucky Big grin

That's quite insane and you must have felt pretty lucky when the Magistrate said that!

Crazy isn't it, you just don't know what you will get with these offences, the punishment varies wildly from been harsh as f**k to been literally let off like me and daver167!

I got caught doing 120 on back road late at night and got away 3 points mainly cos the copper had a Subaru legacy cop car a few years earlier and said how fast they were

I just nodded and grovelled in the right places but really luck

Gone are the days when the cops had to stop you to do you for speeding as when I passed my test years ago 1987 we used to play with the police down the back roads as we all had stupid power escorts.

Best thing to do now is take this as a warning and go and do some track days although we did get stopped on the last one for going too fast but that was in my rallycross car

Unless your being dangerous how can they stop you for going too fast? As long as the slower cars get out the way its surely fine.

I also got stopped on the back roads near me
Doing 110 in a 60, got let off with a talk, I was going nice and steady until a Octavia vrs came right up my arse inciting me, so I floored it up a big straight hill as soon as I hit 110 the grill erupted in blue lights, my heart stopped nearly lol, my attitude came across perfect and he said that's a
Nice car you have there go steady or you will kill your engine, and let me off, although in all fairness he incited me into it.
He had to of been the coolest copper in the country.
LOL

I was caught by a T5 with an onboard camera doing 67 on a 30mph duel carrageway in the wet. The copper was going mental, I thought i'd loose my licence, i put in the notes when it went to court that i'd like a larger fine and less point as i'd not long applied for a job where i needed my licence. I got 6 points and £125 fine. I was trying not to smile too hard when the told me.

I once got pulled on my bike doing "in excess of 100mph" around this 40mph posted bend heading into Newcastle, when he stopped me it was obvious he hadn't gotten a recorded speed and was alone in the car, so just mentioned I calm down about when approaching city centres etc Big grin
