After the ones I have are perishing pretty badly
I'm after some Royal blue ones

Am I correct in saying that the send and return lines are 10mm ID
But need a reducer to 8mm ID for the fuel rail?

Any one have any good places they know of for
Good quality lines?

i've had all sorts and always gone back to 8mm and 10mm rubber/nitrile lines. just (well couple of months ago now) done away with the right angle green and white L-shape connectors and run straight hose from the rail back. (this is on a 205 gti, so feed goes back to the fuel filter in the engine bay to a banjo)

id say replace asap. i heard story of a mate of a mate whos gti6 set on fire in traffic down the middle of broad street in birmingham because of a burst fuel line.

the funniest part was that after he jumped out ran away and looked back at his flaming wreck.

to see his gf open the window and ask "should i get out?" Big grin

By the time you realise your car is on fire, that extinguisher will do sod all. Just cause more of an issue for the fire brigade when they arrive and the entire car is up in flames as most don't have any sort of relief valve.

When you buy fuel hose, be careful and make sure it is fuel hose! I bought some online, fitted it then had a strong smell of fuel on the way home one night. Stopped and opened the bonnet and there was a small jet of fuel squirting all over the engine. Turns out it was heater hose and the petrol had turned it brittle. When i took it off, it had formed into shape and snapped when i tried to bend it :s

Halfords do Goodyear fuel hose for not a lot. Its normally behind the counter and sold by the metre.

Well it makes me feel better. Plus when the bonnet sound proofing fell off and caught light on in exhaust manifold last year, i only had a can of redbull to put it out.

Better safe than sorry.Yes

I work in the fire industry and there is actually a ongoing petition to try and get cheap car extinguishers banned due to the fact they can be unsafe, sometimes just don't work and can turn into an explosive in a car fire. The more expensive ones are fine but again, people never get them serviced and leave them for years which in some cases can turn them into a ticking bomb (although that's down to manufacturer error)
If I had a track car, I'd have one but only because I can get it serviced and parts replaced for free LOL

This is a good option, providing you don't mind your car bursting into flames randomly...LOL

I discovered mine after changing the cam covers due to a seal
Leaking a small amount of oil not really moved the lines or applied any pressure
Went to prime and p**sed out fuel,.
It split not far from the fuel rail so checked it over
But I'm getting rid ASAP Dry
