Evening all,

I'm not completely daft, but certainly not in the know when it comes to engines. However, can someone explain to me why the LB supercharged kit doesn't have a blow off valve?

If my logic is correct, the charger will continue to produce pressure even when off throttle as it's crank driven. So what happens to the boost? Surely this will create a back pressure on the charger and potentially damaging it?

If I were to run aftermarket management, would the kit stay the same (i.e. throttle body before the charger) but allow a dump valve?

Many thanks
Graham

Because the charger is after the throttle butterfly it is merely spinning in a vacuum attempting to draw air in therefore no boost is made. Until the throttle is opened and it has air to compress and make into boost. If the charger was before the butterfly it would make boost all the time and need to dump it.
