Are you sure that's not a mk6? They're not standard wheels on Mk5s

    Have a word with yourself.

In all seriousness, quite a few members would not even dream of spending 10k on a derv Golf. Yes, you can buy an EVO for that money etc etc. However, if you're a bit older and already have a house, car, etc; then 10k doesn't seem such a waste when a comfy economical car will come in handy.

I however didn't do this! I flogged my s2000 and was waiting for the right elise 111R or SC to come along, then boom, new job with a 100 mile round trip commute. So what am I driving now....a 2005 Passat estate 130bhp!

I feel light a right old man in it, but it does 50 to the gallon and carries washing machines, christmas trees et al for fun! Only paid 2,150 for it too and put some on the mortgage and a SC conversion for the 205!

Cheers chap you should have a drive of one.... They love to spin the wheels up in most gears is all I'll say but can get reasonable mpg when you drive like a grandad. It's now got tinted windows and black mirror caps so all ties in nicely. A lot I car for the money.

I decided to buy one of these rather than another 306 hdi as I've always fancied one and it's a car I feel I don't have to modify much to be happy with how it looks / goes.

    It's a 5 - the 6 has sweeping headlights, the 5's are straight underneath.

11K gotta be beyond top price for that I would think.

This is why I have chosen to replace my HDi. I'm getting a little tired of the rattles, the constant need for tlc of some description and the fact it caught me out twice last year. It's a 12 year old car approaching 300K, so it's done me proud in the 9 years i've had it but it's time for some creature comforts. I just don't have much time to work on the cars anymore.

yeh mines only at 150k ish.... my mates are circling like vultures they want to remove the roof and cut it to bits with a grinder Roll eyes

Estate broke down last night at Cinema.... in front of everyone walking past Doh just a glow plug i think.
luckily it was a buddy that was in the car not a female

PD = Pumpse Deuse, or i think thats how you spell it! Basically it means the injectors are actually high pressure pumps combined and are driven off the cam opposed to the older VAG TD's that have the rotary type high pressure distribution pump
