as im sat at home dodging the showers i thought id share with you all what has happened with my car since buying it
i think its basicly a list of what everyone has done just to keep these little gems on the road

bought the car in april 2013 with a weeks MOT left i picked the car up knowing of quite a few faults
but i liked the colour and it was local to me

to get it through the first MOT was quite an ordeal, as i got rolled by the MOT tester, having a late friday MOT once he had a list of fails he didn't complete the MOT negleting to test the front half of the car!
this was going to be my list of todos but ended up being a lot more
so here goes

for first MOT.
Front brake line flexys
front ball joint X2
steering rack gator
Handbrake cable
O/s Front wheel bearing
New Re-con rear beam
front Wishbones X2

I also done

Cam belt +water pump + idlers
New clutch
new s/h Radiator + bottom hose

so once it was home it was time to enjoy it a little my first outing was Pugfest 2013 the car was loud due to the DeCat and single box system made my ears ring on the trip up the M5

car started to get a whine to it so ended up fitting
a New aux idler pulley that sorted this.
i bought some gear linkages at pugfest so on retuning i serviced fixed and fitted a few bits i had around

Comp gear linkages
Oil+ Filter change
fitted strut brace from HDI
changed the rear lights to std
fixed the Tailgate central locking
fixed the N/s central locking
re fixed door trims re-glued fabric trims

removed cleaned painted inlet manifold plugged resonator

reverted back to STD air filter
A/C fan switch mod

repair battery terminals
replaced rear beam mounts (rubber type)

after the summer show season was over i decided to sorn the car so i could do a little preventative maintenance which took till after Christmas when i bought tax again on 1st Jan

renew replace broken arch liners
clean off paint under arches x4
clean off paint front lower cross member
clean off paint front upper cross member
removed black masked fronts returned to std

to continue
once it was back on the road a few things started to show so set to on these

fitted new front fogs
repaired alarm
retro fitted RF central locking integrated into existing alarm
cleaned up freed serviced 4 x brakes

time came for some weld repairs!

weld repair cracked engine cradle

weld chock top engine mount
weld repair rebuild drivers seat
replace Radiator for new alloy type
remove air-con pump + pipework
relocate PAS pump into A/c position re-pipe PAS returns

weld repair chassis box to outer cill under car

replace rear engine mount for vibratec

replace gearbox drive-shaft oil seals x2
with the removed rubber beam mounts i made some solids so fitted these

replace rear shocks for B4's

replaced exhaust back to STD including CAT + BB
replace drivers window plastic clip
replace front hubs for 18mm + wheel bearings + BJ's
replace track control arm
replaced P-bushes for Partner type

2014 FCS showed i needed some oil cooling as i was seeing some high temps so went and fitted a 16 row cooler with thermo take off plate i managed to fit this between the std rad and fans where the A/C rad should be

have also through the year
replace O/S rear stub shaft as it was bent
replaced the front hubs and bearings from 16mm to 18mm

the car went to germany at the end of April and i took it round nurburgring which i really enjoyed
I will be doing it again next year
on returning the car was up for MOT To which it was driven in and Passed with no Adviserys

and to celabrate i gave her a service of
oil and filters

Hi mate, I didn't realise just how much time and effort you have put into the car. Fantastic effort and looks stunning.

Great thread, especially as you seem to have done a lot of the work I plan to do on mine.

time for some new pictures I believe after another year of ownership
just brought this back from MOT, 13months MOT and no advisor's Smile yah!
the time Ive put in when I bought the car is beginning to pay with more time driving it now,

recently fitted an enlarged throttle body which has made quite a difference to the eagerness of the car
cheap mod too as i did it myself
