Hmmmmmmm strange that it worked absolutely bang on for 2 week after it being in storage for 4months and now playing up...

Mine broke on the way home from buying it, and had apparently only done it once or twice before.

Bloody Peugeots... LOL

Well after going for a good boot I decided to give the dash another go.

Well, looky here:

Repairable?

Edit: Well after putting a multimeter to it, it still seems to let current through so not the problem....bugger.

Had clutch cable changed which was great for about 10 clutch presses....then adjusted it self back up to being stiff again ha! But is better than before.

New gearbox oil and seals to go on next weekend along with a couple of these for the rear:

Toyo R1r's;

In other news, rev/oil guage is still being a dick. Handbrake light also.

What did you do to your rear exhaust silencer?
Did you pretty much just prep and paint with silver VHT paint?

Considering refurbing my std. exhaust.

Have you checked the loom along the bottom of the rad?

I just prepped, primered, silvered and lacquered it. Didn't use fancy high temp paint and it's holding up great.

(Haven't checked the loom yet. The dails work for a whole 2 seconds! at the weekend when turning it on.)

p.s having the 'reset' button so god damn frigging close to the 'Submit' button when replying is annoying. Yeah, I've written this reply twice now.

Hmm. I've already got some silver VHT paint.
Glad to hear it is holding up well, might give it a go myself.

Yeah mine are still being funny.

Had a bit done at the weekend by Chris at 'Carwurx': gearbox oil changed, rear tyres swapped for Toyo R1r's and just this morning had https://www.puredents.co.uk (Leeds based) out to sort the boot dent:

Sh1t on a blanket springs to mind:

Before:

After:

Will be getting quotes for pass' door to get sprayed and order a couple more R1rs for the front in the next couple weeks. Also swapped clocks from my 1.6 to see if rev counter would work but it didn't, but putting 6' clocks in the 1.6 didn't work either so these type of clocks mustn't be interchangeable.

Took a trip to Chris at CarWurx again this afternoon. He changed boths tyres, wishbones, droplinks and did the tracking. Now eeeeeevery suspension part on this car has been changed so nothing to worry about for a while then:

Might take a drive out tomorrow and get some decent pictures (of its good side).

Dropped the passenger door I picked up a couple weeks ago to the body shop and it's ready to pick up on Monday. Only wanted £80 to spray the whole door, inside and out. Carter & Browns in Leeds city centre.

Well had the door fitted and innerds' changed, it's not the best respray in the world i.e primer sanding marks visible under the lacquer but I didn't expect perfection for £80.

Anyway, I had a spare hour to have a go at wet sanding the door to try get rid of the orange peel:

Before:

During: (2000, 2500, 3000 grit)

After a couple passes of Meguiars compound stuff. (Will be trying G3 compound because some sanding marks are not fully buffing out.):

Will be finishing tomorrow.

Edit:

Alot better after some G3 compound:

So have a couple C5 steelies int' shed so decided to get one of em powder coated to use as the spare. Wheel and carrier done for £25, bargain.

Now using as my daily, can tell already it's better on fuel than my 1.6 POS.

Next I'm wanting to get my top engine mount looked at as I'm getting a squeak/creaking on and off throttle (but seems only when cold though....hmmmm)

Well just to keep things alive:

She's still going strong. Just been running it as a daily doing 100+miles a week. Just this week I've replaced the ICV, MAP and Coolant temp sensor as it went a bit dodgy during the cold weather. It's also just had a full service down at Carwurx (where he found a damn screw in my tyre, luckily it was repaired.) Had to use it as a removal car a few weeks ago as I've moved house:

Plans:

Remove and clean the throttle body (sounded a bit scratchy when having a look around)

Looks great, lovely car. If you are using a C5 'steelie' alloy as a spare, I'm pretty sure you would need to carry 4 C5 wheel bolts as they are not the same as Cyclone bolts?

Yeah Mik, I've got a set of tapered bolts in the boot. Hope I don't ever need to use them though.

No excuse for the sanding marks, you payed for it done , they priced it up they should if done it right.
I did the same I had bonnet and bumper done and it looked a total twat and that was before I noticed the sanding marks everywhere, trouble is when you first see it you don't notice as much you just see the Dents and chips gone and think it's ok.
ive since had to pay again for it redone and it looks perfect now and wasn't any dearer than the first time, I'd of rather given them extra the first time round for it done right and it would of been cheaper than paying twice anyway, if your not happy take it back, if I wasn't so far away I would of.

Yeah I could have taken it back but I tend to stay well away from places which turn out shoddy work. If I want the car perfect I'll have to spend £2k on a full respray which ain't going to happen. This is my daily work horse.

But recently the start up and idle has been playing so I've replaced the:
ICV, MAP, CTS, TPS and lambda and has still been playing up so now I've left the battery off and will try and ECU reset tomorrow. Determind to get the problem solved.
