My long term problem that disappeared for a month or two is now back! I get the impression i've done something wrong somewhere along the line and this is bad karma.

Bare in mind i've replaced starter motor twice so it can't be that
Aftermarket Immobiliser and alarm company have not encountered this problem as a result of their alarms.

Watch following video for an idea…

So, wouldn't turn over on the ignition literally after driving almost two hours straight. Did it a couple of days earlier! Thumbs down
Matey gave me a push and she started on the move when in gear.

Now you can see exactly what it's doing, please throw your ideas at me!! I am thinking of checking relay side of things but it'll be time consuming so if you know the problem it will save me an afternoon of problem solving. Thumbs up

What was the solution? Replacement of the barrel or is it to do with the wiring alongside it?

looks like you've lost the switch link on the back of the key barrel

between position 2 and 3 as the bat light should stay on until charging when position 3 is selected

i would change the switch on the back of the key block as a first hit
