Hi guys and girls

Ive managed to get hold of a Renault Laguna/Espace front splitter to fit to my 6 uncut and in good condition.

Anyone have any hints or tips to get it looking just right? Not sure if i have to cut it or not yet as cant tell from some pictures ive seen which arnt clear enough.

I was going to use small bolts and washers etc to spread the clamping load insted of just self tappers.

One more thing sorry, has anybody got any close up photos of their's fitted to a 6 bumper?

Many thanks in advanceLove

Hold up the splitter to the front bumper, mark each end where the bumper stops and cut the splitter.

After that you just screw it in!

However (as you've probably guessed already) you need to remove the Gti splitter to get this on lol!

The splitter will follow the line of the bumper Smile

You'll need to throw money at the car. Not on parts. Just stand near your car and throw loose change at it, I find this increases performance for a short period of time

Ha ha yeah i know that part to take the old one off first lol !

I used nuts and bolts for mine. Put the splitter on the bumper, marked up where the holes were and drilled. Fortunately I was replacing the bumper on the car, so I put mine onto the new bumper that was completely off the car, which made life very easy.

Not too close up but gives you a reasonable idea of what it looks like.

Could get more pictures if you like?

Cool thankyou that would be great.

ive got the Espace one which is deeper and has like an inch deep lip all along the bottom, but sure if i need to trim that bit down yet as looking at yours it either didn't have it or you trimmed it off ? ? ?

in doing the same as you described earlier, much easier with bumper off and im also using nuts, bolts and washers to give a more secure fitting.

many thanks

Found one.

Not sure what you mean about the lip. I'll try to remember to get some better photos later today if you like? Want to see the side/back/underneath?

The only cutting I did was trimming the ends off.

Heres one i had on my 1st gti6 years ago Your best off finding the middle and screwing that on 1st then work your way around either side then cut the ends off last then at least you now if you have the sae to cut off either side then you know its in the right place.
