Thats just a waste though. If you physically dont want to use it again. Sell it. It'll just be a ballache to keep it. So sell it, make room in the garage and buy another moterbike.

Don't be daft, not even close! I was hoping Stan would do a
fellow Manstone fan a solid and drop the price considerably LOL

Real world info is it's not much quicker than a normal 6 in the first 2 gears but it feels it, after that it's pretty rapid particularly on a cold day. As said eats many other boosted cars with ease once you get the revs up it just plus and pulls and pulls relentlessly.
On a run it can get 400miles to a tank on Vpower or if constantly booted more like 200 or less.

If I drive it all the time it would probably get boring but I use a derv every day and the 6 only as a fun car. It particularly puts a smile on your face if you Havnt driven it in a while then drive it like a normal 6 relatively gently for some time then find the need to boot it past someone. All he'll brakes loose as you forgot how quick it was Big grin.

Put a new ICV in mine an it hasn't stalled once since don't even need to dip the clutch late to catch the revs. That's with a lightened flywheel and pully as well.

That's as I thought.

Awesome Big grin I'd love to get one. There are a couple for £4000 that look really nice. This seems like a pretty reasonable price. Am I right?

You're mad to spend ~£4000 on a modified 306. In the company of the other cars you've listed the 306 will feel old and rattly. I've no idea of the calibre of car available for £4000 from your list but if you could find a well looked after, low mileage Golf it'd be a much better proposition, day to day.
Spend your money on something that's been on the Earth for far fewer years and is standard...

Alliteration win to boot.

I must admit that thoughts of selling the kit and going 2.1 and bodies has crossed my mind lately.

I can understand this entirely, they may be getting on a bit now but they are still really nice cars IMO.

Exaclty, For me I just like them as a car.
I have no interest in a Clio or something,
I like the looks and the deisgn, IMO its quite timeless and good looking, I love the very slight flar on the arches and the rear lights are great too.

If i lived in Wales and therefore had no worries of space i'm certain i'd keep it for a very long time.

What Elliott said. I drive newer and "superior" car's and hate them. Too refined, boring blah blah blah. s**t to look at and costly to maintain. At 4k, if I wanted faster car. I would buy lee's. Lovely car that.

Which are worse than an old French tin for reliability IMO. I've had first hand experience with these and they are riddled with faults. Nice to look at and go well once mapped though i will say.

Yeah I do like them, a friend had a 300bhp one. His was actually fault free.

But I've always loved the 6, and I've spent so long around pugs now it would be like cheating to go buy something else as a car to keep.

So a low boost is quite reliable and livable on a daily or consistent use? Seriously considering doing so to my 205 as lynx is only 10 mins up the road and as said NA route is so expensive and bad on fuel.
