Looking good, fingers crossed it should be just in time for me going away!
Any idea on the cost of fitting the kit to a gearbox if I supplied it?

Just spoke to the gear company and all parts are being packed and sent for heat-treating. Hopefully back in 7-10 days and then final processes to be done before they are finished. Should be ready in around 2 1/2 weeks from now. They have made 3 extra kits if anyone is interested. Pics to follow shortly.

Not the kind of thing you would want to speculate i would think but with the uprated gears how much torque do you think the box could handle?

Was looking at the RCZR and the box on that has to handle around 330nm i think although not many details on it No

Not very likely but does that mean that the price is reduced if more kits have been made to sell?

No change to price sorry the only difference would have been if I'd got more orders it would have been my kit rather than the gear companies.

I need payment for the balance in the next fortnight please people. Please let me know bank transfer or paypal. I will cover delivery within the UK providing I don't lose any money to Paypal or bank transfer charges for the kits themselves.

The gear company had received all parts back from the heat-treatment company although when they checked the Rockwell hardness of the 3rd/4th lay gear they found that these parts hadn't been processed, so they have had to return them again.
Hopefully they will be back by the end of next week and I can collect them all. I'll ask Denis to post some more pictures as soon as I get them.

I spoke to the gear company on Friday and find that the remaining parts are currently in the oven being heat treated. I've provisionally arranged to collect them this Friday and will confirm as soon as I have them. Sorry once again for the delay but this has been out of my control.

I just can't believe the difference between before and after hardening colour! Hopefully this will deal with all the abuse I can throw at it.

When are these getting sent out? I might have a bit of a problem as im away, my parents have gone on holiday for a while so might have to get them sent to a mates house/work

is the colour change due to adding carbon content into the metal as part of the hardening process, I remember doing something like that in my apprenticeship and remember it stinking like hell Dunno
Wish I had a good memory Thumbs down

I'd arranged to collect them yesterday but they hadn't turned up from the Heat treatment company. They have offered to send them direct to each buyer early next week; please pm me your addresses.

The gear kits are finally finished and being sent direct by KAD as a gesture of goodwill for the long delay. I'm very happy to refund the £20 per kit saving that this has saved me.
There is one spare kit if anyone wants one?
This kit being finally finished is tempting me to race my 306 again!
