I've had a universal catch tank installed for about a year now which is vented to atmosphere, it works brill. I've taken the breather filter off because it keeps getting caked with oil which goes everywhere. I've had a look at airline oil separators which in principle work the same as a catch tank. What I'm trying to get at is can I put one on the car in the hope that I can put the filter back on without the oily mess.

I've attached a picture for you guys.

If you used a proper oil seperator your filter would stay cleanWink

Your catch can is empty, with the inlet and outlet at the same height I'm guessing?and no baffles/gauze inside to seperate liquids from gasses.

Highly recommend these;
