As I leaving work last night, out the gate. On the road the transition from concrete to asphalt is joined by a low kerb but when I went over it this time proved to much for the drivers door mirror glass which left it hanging off... Thankfully I had a few cable ties handy (courtesy of a fellow 306 owner at FCS) I managed to use one to hold it in place LOL

Any other BOTM? Wink

You guys are small time,

When I stripped out the carpet in the back of my black 6, I noticed there were 2 rubber caps on the floor, one of which was not sitting correctly .

"No problem" I thought as I tried to gently push it back in to no avail. "That's annoying" I said as I began to stamp it back into place, again with no avail. By this time it was 1am, and I'd had enough. "Right you little bas**rd!" I yelled, as I went and grabbed the large lump hammer from the garage. I then proceeded to angrily bash the f**k out of the bung until it finally (albeit awkwardly.) Sat in its place. "Job done, time for bed"

In the morning on the way to work, the car p**sed fuel everywhere, lost about £40 worth before I realized what I'd done.

unbeknownst to me at the time, The rubber bung was the cover for the fuel pump, which I'd completely annihilated when I smashed the hell out if it with Mr lumpy Doh. And with spring action day at combe the following day , and several track slots booked,I was most displeased.

Anyway, a big mad rush and an £80 fuel pump fitted 20 minutes before leaving for combe, I'd stopped the fuel leak. Wish I didn't bother, wrote the car off at quarry 4 hours later Thumbs down.

True story guys. LOL

Positive battery cable clamp snapped off so I clamped it on with vice grips. Superb.

Positive battery terminal was not threaded, but connector on the lead was, bridged the excess space with the metal top of a clipper cigarette lighter. Alarm would go off at random, and car would often not start.

I lived like this for 2 months until I realized that the threaded terminal cover could be removed from the old battery Doh

Thats nothing. The main canbus loom on my 406 had been cut through and then stuck back together with a glue gun. Nice. No wonder it kept throwing network errors Thumbs down

You'll need to throw money at the car. Not on parts. Just stand near your car and throw loose change at it, I find this increases performance for a short period of time
