Can anyone give me a rough idea of overall cost to have thr clutch replaced on my '01 (X) HDi. I know main dealer prices do vary so what.

I am guessing it's likely to be around the £400-500 mark as I spent £440 having the clutch changed on my '6 in 2010 So I can only assume it's a similar sort of price.

Around that, get the cable and the fork bearings done too.

Don't speculate just ask the person you intend to take it too how much its going to cost.

Hdi's aren't a pull clutch like a 6 so they don't wear the bushes as much. Where abouts are you? I do these like their going out of fashion lol. Are you running standard power or stage 1 or 2 or anything? At my work we'd probably charge 500ish with decent gear oil and driveshaft seals replace as well.

I could do it a lot cheaper tho Wink.

Well I'm in Wilts (south of M4) A mate said he could do it but I'd only get him to do it if he can give me a receipt from the garage he works for. Rather get it done by someone whose done it time and again...

Like me lol. Shame your not closer chap. How desperate are you to get it done? I've seen many do over 200k on the original clutch before. Did a 206 2.0hdi on 208000 a couple of months ago and a 306 estate 1 owner from new done 202000 on the original clutch lol.

My Astor hdi got to 130k then I remapped it and that was the only reason the clutch slipped. Will be running stage 2 on my estate soon so got to do the clutch on that at the same time and my mate has one that's just started slipping.....

Time and time again you say? Lol
