ive removed the front ac heat exchanger and want to remove a noisey rad fan.

the first one to come on has shot bearings and is noisey. the second fan to come on is fine.

is it as simple as remove both fans bin the s**t one and put the good one in the first ones place and plug it up?

are there different connections between the two?

does the system need to have the second fan plugged in to work properly?

thanks in advance for the advice

jim

You need A turbo diesel non ac fan if you want two.

If you want single fan just get a non ac loom from a petrol engine, i.e rallye

Fans themselves will plug in, speeds wont work properly with one missing.

thanks for the info.....

so your saying even if i change the loom my fans still wont work properly with only one plugged in?

or if ive misunderstood and changing the loom will make a single fan work properly....
can i not adapt my exsisting loom......

i.e. bridging the looms second fans connector pins straight or with a resistor etc? has anyone done this before?

thanks again for the help

The fans run in series on the low speed setting, therefore if one isn't plugged in neither will work. Wink

Much simpler to find a single fan with its wiring and plug it into a radiator temp switch that you'll have to purchase.

It will cost you bugger all compared to the time it will take to get the other work correctly
