Hello guys, I seem the coolant bleeding thread already posted, but just wanted to clearifiy few things, I bled the coolant system it was heading to 90-90+, when stationary but when driving it came down, but the end result I got when stationary was 83-85 would this be correct, there was air in the system as bubbles was appearing from the bleed valve on rad when bleeding, thanks

The car has an 83 degree stat so it shouldn't drop below that when up to temp and driving. It sounds like you did it correctly. Smile

Surely it will rise until the fans come on at 110ish if left stationary as the coolant isn't being cooled by anything if you're not moving and the engine is still getting hotter if it is still running.

I hear and feel them when high speed comes on and remembered it was 100andsomething but yeah just realised they obviously do come on before the red.
Think my memory's just patchy. Thanks.

On a twin fan system the low speed fans come on at 97 and the high speed kicks in at 107...

If the vehicle is being driven, the temp should be around 83-85 on the gauge, once you're stationary then it will obviously go up. Yes

It may show 80, but that is correct as the gauge isn't exactly spot-on accurate.
