Pretty sure a 245bhp 3.0 is considerably faster than a six.

335i if you can afford it Smile

Out of the two linked the 330 all day long for the price difference IMO

Until we move i cant as the missus pointed out. Trying to sell now.

we don't know which house we'll be able to get or when and there's a chance it'll have no garage which means no Corrado. Still have the itch though and it will need scratching!

until then this seems a good idea, assuming i can persuade her on this one!

That's interesting, I am looking at changing mine in a year for one with less miles, was looking at 330d but 330 is an option if 272bhp. Have you driven one?

after having my mates 2003 m3 yesterday, I like bmws now, the way it sucked up the dips and bumps in the road without a single knock bang clatter or rattle from anywhere impressed me, and it was lowered slightly with the big csl wheels on, I imagine them standard are an even better quality ride, pity about the rust bubbles on the paintwork though.

I love our 335i in work. Is remapped with a milltek, bilstein B16RC kit pilot super sports and Alcon superkit. It is immense everywhere and better than our E92 M3 in a few areas.

330i (254bhp) - £280 tax - 32MPG combined
330i (272bhp) - £200 tax - 39MPG combined

Official figures.

Not driven one until I'm ready to actually buy it just in case I love it but can't get one for a while. Seems to be around Sept 07 onwards for 272 version but have seen 2008 254 versions so worth checking. Autotrader says (272) on the ones that have been advertised properly.

Thanks, I was focused on replacing with a 330D as mapped they are 280/290+ but if the 330i is reasonably quick they're a few k cheaper.

I love mine and it's just a 320d, just doing a lot of miles and want to get shot before it starts dropping in value.

Post back when you drive one - I've driven a 135i mapped it was insanely quick, however the running costs put me off as I do too many miles to entertain it.

If you're doing lots of miles, id get the 330d as it'll prob save you a fair bit.

i only do about 9000 a year so cant be a derv.

At the mo you're looking at about £14k up for a 2008 - 272 330i. However new plate in sept and new version coming onto the used market more should lower them a bit.

Want a 2009 as the iDrive system looks better - not sure if it's worth extra money though.

Finding a decent manual seems a pain in the ass.

BMW quote bulls**t mpg figures, it even says in the manual you won't replicate the test figures. Our mini is young and healthy and does 70 on a good day to book 82, it's better than most on the mini forum too.
