im looking to replace the rotors on my tarox as ones always had a slight warp. and iv come to a bit of a dead end with the sizes. mine are 330x25 and they are 10 bolt versions. now 10 bolt is pretty hard to get hold of so thought ill get some 12 bolt bells machined. but I cant even find 330x25mm rotors. help please. iv looked at comp brake and ebay and tweaks and I can only find them on tweeks under 12 bolt versions. and I don't want to pay £325 a disc and still have to make bells.

Will 26mm ones fit in the calipers? If so I'm sure I've seen then readily avalible?

If not maybe get some 26mm ones machined down by .5mm each side?

Thought you had sorted this problem? they where not warped when I had them, cant see you warping them either unless you got them red hot then drove threw a puddle whilst braking!

The only thing I can think off is the bells not sitting right as they where bloody tight on the dimma's hubs!
I cant see the rotors warping to be honest!!

Have you tried them on a surface table or with a dti, might save you a lot of cash in the long run

Did you remove them yourself?

Could be warped by a hammer knocking them offDunno

Im an engineer, im not that stupid lol sledge hammer for the win!

I removed them by putting the car in gear and turning the rotors by hand so they freed themselves from the hub, they were tight not solid!

haha no these went about 6 months ago, he told me he had a problem to start with but ended up being a top mount if iirc, think he has done a track day or 2 and said how good they were so maybe he has managed to warp them but its highly unlikely on a disc that size

You say that mate i managed to warp a set of apracing 330 discs had to do an emergency stop on a cold morning when they weren't warm = Fcked
Tho interestingly i have heard of discs that big being machined to take away the slight warping!

Yep as Jim said they can be machined but I don't think that is the problem as its a problem he had before and then eliminated due to bad/worn suspension parts, could be pads, balljoint, ovaled hubs, topmounts etc

I just cant see a car that ways sod all, and massive brakes warping unless as you say it was a cold disks, water, harsh braking from excessive speeds!

I don't think rob is trying to blame me however im just trying to get him to check all possibilities before wasting money on new rotors as the ones he has have sod all use and are pretty much new

bud im not blaming you and never would come to you about it. you had no way of know and if you did I know you wouldn't of sold em as good disc's yeah I suspected every joint. and hub faces as really didn't want it to be warped. the only option iv got left is unbolt the disc and bells and change the bolts to see if they've come away or something. but if you turn the disc freely an use the caliper as you guide they wave about and if you do gentle braking for a day you can see the surface area of the disc isn't clean in one area. and the steering shakes quiet badly. they work well still but the only way to minimize the steering shake is to brake like a man heading for a cliff edge Razz but yeah didn't see the point in bringing the subject up all the time. how ever do you still have your turins. iv cracked a speedline today so im thinking spare wheel time lol

think they are 25.4 originally so yeah should do. just don't want to pay massive amounts for the rotors only to have to have s**t made or altered. Thumbs up

HI SPEC seem to be spot on. cheers for the link :thumbs

yea Ollie they've not had massive use. im on the 2nd set of pad and its just finally p**sed me of enough to admit it warping an not something else. you can see it clear as day but just really didn't wanna shell out huge cash with no use on them. the brakes them selfs are over kill but I like that they are but when I drive hard it means I don't need the massive power I can just brake so late an so hard it scary. Big grin
