being half aware that a spolier kit will make no differnece what so ever or will a bodykit splitter etc etc.......

as on top gear clarkson made a proper splitter out of ply and it set on fire, but after wards it helped.... i wont be doing exactly that.

but ive managed to wangle myself a rather large sheet of checkerplate for free. i think its ally or stainless not sure.

has anyone made one before? if so can i have some pics see how other people have tackled it etc etc.....

thanks in advance
jim

Pretty sure splitters like above on that girls car are a MOT fail and illegal.

yeah i wasnt quite right in my use of the term splitter. more like undercarrage covering/smoothing...

this sheet is big enough tht i can park my car on it so i can more than easily cover the whole underside of my vehicle.

i figure then.....seeing as the above pic type is illegal, i wont be poking any of it past the bottom bumper lip

I think a flat surface underneath would do more. I've put an undertray on mine and am filling in the bit between the front bumper and undertray (under the rad) with a Mk2 Ford Focus one trimmed to size. New cars have all those voids filled in to get more fuel efficiency.

Those flat sheet splitters can work well, but ideally just screwing them to the bumper is not enough, you'd want them attached to something rigid. Also an end plate of sorts wouldn't go amiss, but on the road you'd never notice a difference anyway.
