Yeah, that's a tender setup. Helpers can be handy for giving droop travel over jumps which lets the dampers absorb more energy but unless you're rallying with 10" of travel a tender is more useful...

Right my Gaz Gold fronts to match my rears have just turned up. And their 350lbs springs 65mm x 8" if anyone wanted to know.

Also they have completely changed the look and finish. I remember reading the description it said "black zinc plated body for maximum corrosion protection" thought hmmm we'll see when they turn up.

Maybe they finally listened to people moaning about the crap corrosion resistance once the salt gets to them...?
Googled gaz gold black and all the new ranges are coming out looking like this.

looks good, hope they have sorted the damping on the rears, I wasn't a fan of them compared to a Bilstein damper however much the knobs were twiddled.

Really? I love the rears had them about 3 years have mine set around half way with 21mm bars and it made the previous B6s feel like complete and utter w**k.

Just fitted a set of rears to another members car along with new beam mounts and tracking and the cars transformed.

Depends if you like a softer setup as the GAZ are pretty hard. Can barely bounce the back of mine by hand when it's on the floor.

Yeh I remember you be said in the past you've been told softer better for hill climb but I've never understood why tbh surely it's a smooth road and similar to a track just uphill..... so you want pretty flat cornering therefore stiff springs?

Softer is better everywhere. It's just you need other things, like geometry control, and not scraping the floor of the car on the tarmac.

As soft as possible and as stiff as needed...

Gonna say, I can get GG rears for about 55 quid each, they're hardly an expensive option.

Where? I've not seen them that cheap. Petes recently fitted them to mine and I quite like them. Combined with the new rear beam mounts she handles like a dream.
