The first fan on my 6 is not coming on, ive done a search and come up with a few things.
Fistly ive pulled the temp sensor off the thermostat and only the secondary fan came on, could this mean the briton is ok?
is it most likly to be the motor is bust? and is it possable to fix with out pulling the front end off?

If it is a motor then the front end does have to come off
Could possibly be one of the green relays between the fans that sends power to the first fan.

I got annoyed with mine and just wired them to a switch

Sounds like one of the fan motors is dodgy, will need swapping out for another. Yes

Try spinning the fan around by hand - sometimes they get stuck.
The connector block for the fans sometimes gets dry joints - connector block below the air intake pipe.
Although money is on changing the fan or the bitron.

found and tested both green relays are working but the relay that was at the bottom of the three, when unpluged its very corroded (like the rest of the car) and seem like its melted a slight bit.
i will clean it up and try it again in the morning.
