On a standard engine it's probably over-kill, but then as an engineer I would always prefer over-engineering to failure. Yes

Royal purple imo is the wrong grade for day to day use. If I had a low boost id use a decent 5/40 fully synthetic oil. If it often recieves a good ragging but is used daily id try that silkoline oil (10/60 iirc) at half the cost of RP. As I see it a lowboost dont rev much harder and if its a daily then 90% of the time its used at low revs. However, if its a high/silly boost one, id use RP and probably wouldn't use it daily as all of a sudden its a toy. I guess it all depends on how you are using the car.
