Hello guys, I have experienced a slight grumbling noise since replacing my tie rod end, the steering feels light when turning the wheels, also when I brake it grumbles abit to any ideas what it could be, was under it yesterday and did feel oil on the orange plastic sleeve didn't take much notice as I thought it could be old oil or grime, but will get under for a proper examination, for time being any ideas what it could be, steering is bit of set so knw it will need tracking but the grumbling noise have no idea so please if any of you lads can give me a idea what it could be cheers

Grumbling noises are usually attributed to wheel bearings. Yes

Oh hope it not stan, so stressed this peugeot is it started when I replaced the tie rod, it's like a creaking, groan/ rumble, the fluid in power steering seems ok, so don't knw where that oil on the orange plastic sleeve on the steering rack came from, if it was the rack would I get same problem, I did hold the wheel vertical and shaked it, it seemed to be solid, just a tip I found if wheel bearing has gone, if it shaked meant its gone, dunno if this is a way to check them or the guy on YouTube was taking s**te, any help would be great fellas,

whole car sounds knackered, also why are you on here with a 1.4? Razz

why don't you make one thread with all your problems in one place (the car that is) will be a lot easier to keep track!

Lol your right welsh, it's had to much done, records show it was in accident, then in my ownership engine blew in 2 months of driving it, fitted new bushes, exhaust, mounts, engine, links, tie rod end, lol I just think I spent so much want it to be good to drive, I ain't going to get my money back so, maintain the basics, and kill it off if major lol, and I'm on here as you guys know a lot more than the usual pug rooms and always point me in the right way, so now to be part of the gang need to kill this and get a GTI lol Thumbs up

I've been eating pure health for weeks, went out for a meal with my family and parents, after the meal I said I'm going for a cig, my dad replies I thought you was eating healthy now, I replied "It's ok I not going to eat it"
    Maybe I should stop
