Right lads, I'm putting new track rod end in this week, and whilst looking at the old one I was twisting the track rod (long bit that the track rod end attached to) I did move it back to where I thought I was,and whilst still driving it with the old track rod end in,still feels the same, my question is that would me twisting it made difference cause I really don't want problems from it, thanks guys and this forums on suspention has helped me get Idea how I will be putting it in this week I Am only putting in the track rod end, not the track rod itself thanks guys and advice is appriciated

No it won't have hurt or done anything, it's designed to move, it's like a ball in knuckle thing inside

It's the same thing mate,

Well for another track rod end at £5 would it not be worth doing both and having it tracked once and be done with it?

Eurocar parts or GSF are likely to be cheaper, although that was about the price I paid for them on my 205.

    Did you tell them it's a 306?
Also tell them both track rod ends are new, was copper slipped before fit ment and will be free and easy to adjust.

Gman, I mean like getting the car tracking done, like 4 wheel alignment, I rang up STS tyre pros, and the guy said £44.95 and any adjustment at rear will be extra £20 per adjustment, I also rang up BLACKBOOTS and they said £40 + vat so it comes to £48? Told him its 306 and he's like it's normally just front that need doing, is this pricing right cause I'm sure should be like half what they told me cheers guys and if you lot know someone close to Buckinghamshire or Hemel Hempstead, way give me a shout

No they will last a year at best before the rubber boots split and the ball joints wear out. Better off with Lemforder or Delphi or TRW. Don't go for Q-drive from euros either their not worth a w**k.
