Had a few problems with the 6 lately. Anyways she's got a running issue. She's a f**ked to start. Lots of cranking with working the throttle. An when she does she's a bit missy at first I think that just due to the poor starting an she idles high like 2200rpm. It's got a new cts an lambda. Changed them both yesterday. Goes well up top but won't idle right or start easily. Iv tried cam sensors too

Potentially failing or intermittent crank sensor

Have you attempted to clean the ICV at all?

To be fair, it sounds like you could have an air leak, which is why it's struggling to start and idling high. When it's idling high, block the air intake to the ICV. The engine should die. If it doesn't you've got an air leak. Yes

Icv was cleaned before but did the finger over the end an it stalled so no air leak. Iv changed double relay an made no difference. I'm currently re cleaning the icv just to make sure. I suspect crank sensor but it gives the correct resistance reading but doesn't mean it can't be intermittent failure

Strange though if it IS that, as crank sensors usually either work or they don't.

if she doesn't catch after a min of cranking I have to unplug injectors to get her to start as she floods

fixed! I change the TPS back to an original Peugeot one (cheap ebay one wouldn't keep the plug on properly) it made bugger all difference so got the meter out an did a resistance check on the NEW! CTS and it read something high so check an pair of old ones I had kicking about which said 300 ohms. so plug on of them in an just touched it again the block while it warmed up. the revs started lowering slowly. plugged it back into the new an they jumped. so let the engine cool took the new one out an meter tested it. an it rand 0.9 Meg ohms! when it should be 300 ohms lol. old CTS quick ecu reset an running like a dream again! thank god! was starting to get p**sy with it lol. anyway taking the new sensor back to GSF tomorrow see if I can get it refunded or exchanged.
