Worth a punt. preferably in Astor, Diablo or maybe China. Also would prefer non Sun roof.
Must have good history(cam belt etc) not overly fussed about condition as long as its not got a crumpled rear quarter/rear panel etc

Yes I know. Why not get a '6? but insurance is a lot more than I can justify ATM (GTI6 transplant next year perhaps?) and I am a bit reluctant to buy a diesel Dunno

hmm.... Ari, do you have no NCB or something?

Quotes on a 6 really are not usually that much, group 15 isnt that high. Sure an XS wouldnt be far behind.

That said, there is a lot that can be done to the XU7 engine. 150+bhp is achievable, Could look into modifying the standard engine if you got one Yes

I have 3yrs currently but that doesn't really make much difference.. I'm not really looking to modify it certainly not the short term. See if I can find one failing that July I'll be getting a HDi. I like my Focus just fed up with the rust.

False economy they drink fuel as much as a 6 and insurance is negligible regardless of sexual preference, lack of NCB or initiative/desire to lick your mother out etc.

Cambelt Laugh my ass off it's a myth these need changing as they never break and certainly shouldn't be compared to a 6.

Insurance is 5/6 though however not miles away from 6 ville if you consider the costs.

Get a LPG six!

They're cheap!

Insurance - £450 a year
Fuel price 67.9p per litre! ie I travel approx. 1000 miles a month, total cost £120 approx, beats the £250 a month I was paying to run the car.
Maintenance - Reliable as if you pick the right one!

Happy motoring!
