Using factors pads/discs.

Have noticed today whilst jacking up to sort out yet something else is that the inside face of the front drivers side disc is not really displaying much evidence of being used. I whipped the carrier off and the sliders were greased however I cleaned them and re-greased.

I'm awfully hungover - and can't really troubleshoot with such a headache.

Any ideas?

I will do a bit more fiddling tomorrow and see what happens.

Brakes in a straight line, although thinking about it the pedal does have a bit of travel. Will get me some fluid and bleed anyway, and check out the piston movement.

I rebuilt the front of the car today with a stinking head, a fairly straightforward job turned into a 5 hour effort!

Cheers fellas

Sounds like a sticking piston to be honest Carl, but a bleed may well help too. Smile

Pad sticking in the carrier IMOYes

If the outside face of the disc is being used/shiny the piston must be moving as its pulling the outer pad onto the diskWink

You need to clean up the carrier where the pads sit,or file a small amount of paint off the pads so they slide in carrierThumbs up
Being motor factor pads my money is on the paint being abit thick/not uniform on the padsWink

if they are the calipers you bought off me, i'd say pads sticking

just clean off the paint where the pads slide, and make sure you coppa-slip Thumbs up
