Just done a quote on Compare.... Fully comp with personal accident cover and courtesy car.... £175!! Being old is awesome!!! I suppose 25 years with clean licence helps a bit too...

mine was £500 inc breakdown on my 306 hdi, 9yrs ncb, 28, protected ncb, pay it in one go though to save the 20% odd finance fees doing it monthly or it's like £650 afterwards

just got a quote now on a 130i 5dr, £717 w/ shielas wheels or £2818 with Endsleigh and AA.. Hmm which to go for Hmm

£128 fully comp this year ... this is done under classic car insurance which does not allow me to drive another car third party but that was the only downside to such competitive insurance.
