Quick question that I've tried searching for but can't find an answer.

What is the wiring for that runs up to behind the rear view mirror? Can this be cut and removed? It comes out and runs down the a pillar.

Just a quick curious question

Cheers

It's for the rain sensitive sensor, lights and sunroof if you got one!
No need to cut it just disconnect the plug under the dash (drivers side under the fuse box)

I seem to remember my wipers refused to work with the rain sensor unplugged. It can all come off the windscreen, but the two metal brackets that hold the rain sensor are stuck on with some sort of adhesive, you can get them off though if you get a fine blade under them.

In my track car i have the rain sensor sat inside the dash on a shortened loom, allows the wipers to work on the various settings except the actual sensing position, where the wipers have a mind of their own and wipe at random. LOL

Iirc if the sensor is removed, it reverts to intermittent wipe.

Thanks boys, all sorted, no wiring running round now!

Like you say ollie when unplugged you have one speed.

The unit in mine literally just unclipped off the screen, I then just wound it up and tucked the unit up under the dash for now so that everything still works like you said prism7guy

Cheers!
