Had an odd grinding noise coming from somewhere when I did a fast start. Car was warm, really have no idea what it was.

Is there anything that could cause it? I know the description is a bit vague! Really don't want to try it again in case something breaks, the car needs to get me back down south before I do more work on it.

Great! Just what I wanted... Going to have to hope it holds out until I get home. Barely using it at the moment though.

Possibly the diff having an issue, when you say 'fast start' do you mean you launched it?

Yup, pretty much. Bit pathetic but a couple of chavs in a Fiesta were going to try and out launch me to cut in front, decided I'd see if they were any good.

Nope, they were impressively bad especially considering I pulled back once the noise started.
