Im also planning on doing mine. Maybe some perspex sealed and bolted to the roof i think.

So finally have got myself some carbon for my blank. Only thing is, it looks too good to plonk it on the roof, open to the elements.



Do i simply cut it to fit the hole or cut it oversized then tiger seal it on....?

Mine was cut to size. I started to the side and put a bit of fiberglass underneath and used a heat gun to set the fiberglass whilst holding panel in position cause using sealant aint easy as it takes so long to set.

I did this in several places each time holding up to the level and heating to set. Was very fiddly in places but once set I then sealed the outside with a sealant and did the inside also.

Thanks for the advice. I'll work out a way very similar to what you done. Sounds like a good idea. I wish i bought 1mm rather than 3mm now Doh
