question for the more experienced than me Wink

IF eibachs became unavailable for the 306 (we all know they are highly rated and popular), what brand of lowering spring would you go for instead ?????

perhaps you have used another brand in the past and thought they were good.

we know g-max and spax are budget springs, but how about apex, avo, h&r, pi etc

any input appreciated.

ta Thumbs up

H&R have an excellent reputation in the VAG/Audi tuning circles, but I don't know what they do for the 306.

Is it likely that Eibach will stop producing springs for the 306 then?

One day perhaps. Eibach is my preferred choice but they have stopped producing them for my current project. Hence the question on recommended other springs

As said I think H&R would be my next choice
They seem to be a universally well respected brand like eibach are.
Im not sure that can be said for apex and pi etc

Would that be with b6 struts? As I know at least I can get a pair of them for my project

Is there a problem lowering on the b6 shocks due to their internal bump stops or something?

Apex? Seriously??

Ran a set of Apex lowering springs on my old Daily, a remapped tdi Octavia estate. The ride was awful, truly shocking. I endured a month before removing them and fitting eibachs - I was trying to be clever/tight at the time and the quality difference was night and day.

I've used AVO springs in the past for many years on my trackday big power RS Turbo and rate them as highly as the Eibachs. Supple, progressive and excellent ride qualities.

When I fitted b6 and eibach on the rallye, I actually put a full size bump stop over the rod and had no issues

I have h&r on the van in a 60mm and there are fine mated to standard shocks. My BMW 1 series is on them too with the same drop, drives fine.
