SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD!!!!!!

Not sure why above say's no tax???It is taxed until the end of MAY so can be driven away assuming you have insurance.

Hi all,

I have been an avid reader of the forum for quite a few years but have never really spoken out. Anyway I am selling my much loved S16 road legal track car. The details are as follows;

1995 306 S16 2.0L Sigma Blue
Will be supplied with a fresh 12 month MOT
Tax until the end of May
Engine code: XU10J4 RFY
The car has covered 93,000 miles. It had a new engine fitted at 32,000 so the engine has covered just over 60,000 miles. The top end was completely rebuilt at 88,000 miles, skimmed, ported & polished, new valve stem seals, new head gasket, new cam belt & water pump, refurbed hydraulic lifters. The engine is running approximately 200 BHP, sounds amazing and is brilliant fun to drive.

Modifications;
Custom 40mm Throttle bodies with Pipercross filter
Ported & polished head
Peter Taylor stage 2 intake cam (http://www.taylor-eng.com/xu9j4/16v_camtiming.htm)
4 degree Offset Cam pullies
Emerald K3 ECU with map switching
Aem wideband lambda, controller & in dash-gauge
FSE fuel pressure regulator with in-dash pressure gauge
RGM Gauge Pod
Engine starter button
PTFE inlet manifold gasket
Nissens alloy radiator
Alloy Catch tank
Baffled trapdoor sump
Various stainless steel engine bolts
Silicone oil hoses
Green Weber injectors IW204
Powerflex lower engine mount
Powerflex exhaust mounts
Powerflex Wishbone bushes
MI16 heat wrapped tubular exhaust manifold
Heat wrapped custom down pipe & de-cat
Blueflame cat-back 63mm Exhaust
Lowered 30mm front 40mm rear
Koni sport front shocks (with adjustable compression rate)
GE Quickshift kit
Battery relocated behind passenger seat (with 100A fuse)
Battery cut-off switch
Goodridge braided brakelines
Stebel Nautillus Airhorn
Angel eye headlights
Mirror tinted rear screen and quarters
Meshed grill
Rear CC motorsport spoiler
Phase 3 rear lights
Powder coated white alloys
Dewipered rear screen (still have original parts)
Completely stripped interior (except dash and headlining)
Dash switches for various things, map switching, radiator fan (can be turned on continuously for track use), shift light switch

The car has had new wishbone bushes, suspension top mounts & bearings, drop links, long driveshaft bearing, plugs, oil & filter, wishbones & ball joints are approx 2 years old.

There are a few bad points;
The engine is running a bit rich. It could do with a remap. It will be supplied with the software & cables for mapping. The car runs fine when the engine is up to temperature but when it's cold it's a bit rough (due to the stage 2 cam) and sometimes stalls without enough revs.
The bodywork is a bit tatty. The paintwork around rear arches is chipped, from where I started to roll the arches, leaving the bare metal exposed. It has been like this for around 6 years or so and has not rusted at all. The front offside arch has a crease in it, I have 2 replacement front arches that just need bolting on. Various small dings here & there, nothing major.
Tracking needs doing.
The Rear subframe (front) bushes need replacing the rears have been done just never have gotten round to doing the fronts.
There is no oil filler port as it was originally bolted to the inlet manifold which was removed. I usually fill it with oil via one of the hoses connected to the catch tank.
the shift light is fitted but not working.

If you have any questions please ask. I know this car inside out so should be able to answer anything. I'm only selling it as I don't use it enough to warrant keeping it.

Contact me on here or on my mobile. I don't tend to answer my phone during the day due to working in an office Angry but i'll normally answer emails or text messages, because the boss can't see Wink

Thanks

Steve

I don't know for definite, but I'm sure for all Xu's the manifold is interchangeable, so they probably would. Welshpug will no doubt be along soon with the info.

Yep as Rikky said the manifold bolts straight on. The manifold was originally off a GTI6 with one of Phil's PTFE gaskets. The only thing is, to pull out the emerald you will need to remove the loom wires from the ecu plug as I have put the emerald in the passenger footwell. If I had the time & space I would strip it myself. I still have the original ECU and a spare loom (that I'll chuck in) that I was going to use to put the ecu back in the engine bay, just never got round to it.

    No mate. Still for sale.
I did some pre mot checks an found the front hub has two mullered holes so as it is I wouldn't drive it. I hit a pot hole a week or so ago an got a local bloke to fit a part worn tyre so I could sell it, I think he must've overtightened the bolts an buggered the hub. I've had a lot of interest from people wanting to buy it to break so it seems a bit pointless getting a new MOT on it.
