I've found a sensor with light grey socket/plug behind the starter motor underneath a bracket that holds the engine loom with nothing plugged into it. The sensor looks like It screws into the block.
Does anyone know what it does and if theres supposed to be something plugged in there ?

Cheers

Oil pressure sender, most likely the older style for the dashboard pressure light, probably fitted instead of a blanking plug at the time. Yes
