I'm posting an excellent video for a friend from his trackday at the 'Ring. I'm sure many will know who it is Smile

The description neglects to mention it's the Scuderia following which is more powerful than the standard 430 and weighs 100KG less.

Enjoy Smile

From the rate that he was lapping I would have thought that he had done more than the thread above shows, he's running low boost if that's as far as he got with it? Or has more been done and not shown?

Definitely low boost, just by looking at the speedo you know it does not have 400bhp

tbh, taking an XU to similar power to a low boost (250 ish) is pretty straight forward and would not be too dissimilar to a low boost package.

you would be looking at a 2.2, i.e 92mm XUD11 x 87mm (+1mm overbore)

£1400 on good rods and pistons,
£600 on a satchell inlet setup with 48mm jenveys,
£650-700 on an ecu and loom.
£300 mapping.
£2-400 on cams, dont need to be wild.
£400 roughly, exhaust manifold.
£200 bearings and seals, gaskets etc.

Bolt it all together yourself, you'll be looking at around £4k.

I thought the low boost gets upto about 265? Plus I thought that the prices on some of those were running higher, thought that it would need more work. That doesn't seem to bad in all fairness, plus you get a lot more usable power

Just what I was thinking, out of interest whats the limit of standard rods and piston. I know this limits the lift and duration of the cams due to the valve /piston clearance.
