I have read a few posts on here about the anti-drain back valve in the cylinder head oil gallery being prone to blocking. Does anyone know if the XU10J2 engine would have this valve?

I took the cam cover off my car the other day and found some signs of camshaft wear, just wondering if a partially blocked anti drain valve is likely to be the issue?

iirc they don't, but they do have a filter in the same location you'd find the valve on the later 16/24v engines

Nice one, thanks. I will take the head off and have a look and take the filter out if it is still there, hope I find the problem!
