Morning, gentlemen.

I Just need a bit I advice concerning my engine fans. They're not coming on at all, but work when I pull the associated plug out in the engine bay. I did a search a few weeks back, and someone was saying that a relay. (I think that's what it was), may need replacing.
Is this correct? What do I need to ask for to order one? And if so, is it something I can do myself, baring in mind I'm a complete retard when it comes to fixing cars.
Cheers lads. Smile

Bitron unit sounds like it's knackered.

When you say both fans come on when you unplug the brown sensor in the engine bay, do they come on at low speed for about 10 seconds then revert to full speed? Dunno

I'm not sure. I think they just come on at full speed and stay that way. I'll check later.
Cheers, mate. Thumbs up

Also, you need to be sure that it is indeed both fans which are coming on and not just the one. Smile

Alright, stan.

Ive Just checked. They both come on at full speed and stay that way. Does this give us any more of an idea what the problem is? Dunno

Full speed *straight away*?

If so, I'm thinking Bitron unit has had it. Yes

No problem, you should be able to find one fairly cheap second hand. Yes

Cheers for your help, stan. I probably won't grab one until the end of next month, but will no doubt be asking advice on how to go about changing it. Whistle
