Hi guys

Basically my car idles perfectly but when braking in neutral or turning the wheel the revs rise. Harder I brake the more they go up. Quick blip of the throttle and they go back to normal. What's the likely cause so I can sort it

Thanks mate. Did try that. But it seems to not really be an idleing issue. From what I have read vaccum leak would cause my symptoms but its almost impossible to determine where its coming from. Smoke test might help

More than likely the PAS pressure switch.

Look down the front of the engine between the inlet manifold and the radiator and you will see a blue coloured sensor in the middle of a pipe. Unplug the plug on this sensor, and then see if the symptoms persist. I suspect they may well be cured.

It's perfectly fine, a lot of people actually run with this unplugged if it goes faulty instead of buying a new one. LOL

You can try resetting the ECU, however I would recommend cleaning the ICV first (a guide for this can be found in the FAQ section) and then resetting the ECU. This should see you right. Thumbs up
