Basically my car idles perfectly but when braking in neutral or turning the wheel the revs rise. Harder I brake the more they go up. Quick blip of the throttle and they go back to normal. What's the likely cause so I can sort it

Thanks mate. Did try that. But it seems to not really be an idleing issue. From what I have read vaccum leak would cause my symptoms but its almost impossible to determine where its coming from. Smoke test might help |

More than likely the PAS pressure switch.Look down the front of the engine between the inlet manifold and the radiator and you will see a blue coloured sensor in the middle of a pipe. Unplug the plug on this sensor, and then see if the symptoms persist. I suspect they may well be cured. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

It's perfectly fine, a lot of people actually run with this unplugged if it goes faulty instead of buying a new one. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

You can try resetting the ECU, however I would recommend cleaning the ICV first (a guide for this can be found in the FAQ section) and then resetting the ECU. This should see you right. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
