I've done my gti-6 40mm at the front but I'd doesn't seem to have changed much! Is it best to keep the rear level at 40 or should it be more?!

You should notice a 40mm drop, was it lowered before?

get a tape measure. in the lowering world 40mm isnt alot, usually whats recommended for the 306 is 30mm. which gives you a better look and better handling

if your after making a noticable difference and just go for looks try a 60mm drop or get coilys and slam it, but the ride will be harsh and it wont handle aswell unless you spend mega bucks

theres always a compromise, what springs are you using? and when did they get fitted?

sometimes they take a bit to bed in, and some springs with some cars just dont lower at all, i bought 50mm spaxx springs for my 2.0 mondeo and it dropped about 20mm

40mm is 40mm. Or you could say 4cm.

You don't want it level really, better to have a bit of rake towards the front.

    40mm is very noticeable though...
