So after picking up this rather mint 6, i was very pleased with it. Stacks of service history (inc lots of recent work). Only problem I found was the cam cover was p**sing out with oil from poor workmanship, causing the big end bearing start to go after I got caught in a snow storm over mid-wales driving it back home.

Here she is:

Found some OZ Super T's knocking around in my garage which i forgot about, so decided to take them down to a mate and get them painted, so picked out a color and vinyls and went from there, here's the finished product:

On the car:

Ratty turned up and......:

After a few hours on saturday and sunday we got the job done.

Next on the list was lowering, so I had some eibach springs and (nearly new) standard shocks so pressed ahead with putting them on after borrowing a vice from a mate, the same mate is going to do the torsion as i do not have the patience or low enough stress levels for extracting the bar. LOL
Here's what it looks like now:

Good old seatbelt for an engine hoist, works every time. Still got the belt on my engine which is about to be rebuilt! I'll keep an eye out for you, haven't seen a 6 round our way for a while since Roland has stopped owning all of them!

So I take it the engine was completely changed? Any plans for it or just tidying it up a bit?

What do you mean, lower it more on the front ? I dont really want to lower it anymore on the front as it compromises handling etc. Once I get round to lowering the back i think it will drop more on the front but im very happy with the height on the front now.

Was abit of an experience to put a 6 engine back in, as i've only ever taken them out, but it wasnt too hard with the two of us. I cant see how people do an engine change on their own.

All i have left of the old engine is the block, PAS pump and some wiring.

Looking nice mate good job on saving her. Are you sticking with the oz's or putting the td's on? I think the oz's look very nice against the china. Nice not to see td's for once even though I like them.

here what the back looks like now, also i've put new shocks on the back:

Also took the car to 2 garages to check the ticking problem i had, and they both came back with the same diagnosis - too much oil and poor quality oil, so from this I do not recommend Comma oils at all.

Also this is now back up for sale as that V6 is still calling
