Never seen a 405 T16 myself so I can believe parts are hard to get hold of.

What is this business of 'project threads' being needed? Can people not quietly go about their business without having to take a thousand pictures and show the World what they're up to? Dunno

Honestly, the amount of people which ask me where the project thread is on mine as they can't find it is unreal. Crazy

Sorry people, I've just never been interested enough to actually sit down and create one...

This isn't about you Stan. I was addressing Andy for a thread. If he doesn't want to that's fine.

He planted the 'secret new purchase' seed, so perhaps he does want people to know about it.

I know it's not referring to me Dan, I was just curious as to why many people think that a project thread is an 'absolute must' as soon as you start to carry out any modifying...

    Not at all.

But by mentioning something very briefly but then explaining he's not giving further details for a couple of weeks does make you think - why mention it at all? Some may say it's a bit 'look at me'. I can only assume Andy will be quite proud to talk about it in detail and I look forward to reading about it personally Smile

the main reason i haven't put more details up, is that i would like those who are interested, to see some progress i have made. but at this moment in time i have nothing really to show.

We know you can't be arsed doing oneRoll eyes

But the majority of people that use car forums are interested in other peoples cars/work/mods they are doing, so would like to see project threads.Thumbs up

Not for much longer mate, once the end of September comes that'll be the end for the car being used and then it'll enter a very long period of hibernation, probably 3-5 years I would guess. After that, it'll only be used for road use, there will be no more trackdays etc as I can't be bothered to keep trying to get the noise level down. LOL

    LOL

    Nope, no joke.

Once this year is over, I will have no further need or use for the car for the foreseeable future. Therefore, it shall hibernate once more, but this time much longer than the 18 months it sat for before as I will be solely concentrating on bikes and the car will be redundant. Wink
