Some of the vacuume pipes on my supercharged 6 have seen much better days to be honest so I need to replace them. Also at the same time since king supercharged the vacuume pipe that runs from
The inlet manifold to join the vacuume pump pipes is not the best fit to say the least and looks untidy IMO. Is there a reason for both the vacuume pump and the inlet vacuume pipe? Or could I get away with blanking off the inlet one and just running the vac pump?

I read in a thread ages ago about someone else running brembos saying they blanked off the inlet vac pipe and just used the vac pump and the pedal got better.

It was put there for a reason so if you remove it then you're going into unknown territory against the knowledge of the Peugeot engineers. Personally, I'd leave it alone but it's up to you. Wink

Says you with a 454 bHP 306 lol. Well I think I'll try without it with abung in the back of the inlet and see what happens. Not sure if the one way valve is is the T piece or in the hose connecting the servo to the vac input.... One way to find out lol

I've wondered what effect charging has on the vac system, as the manifold will be pressurised rather than under vacuum when not on closed throttle.
I know most of the time you will have a closed throttle when braking, but unsure if the positive pressure could be detrimental to the system?

What does nothing?

And their will be a one way valve in the vac pipes somewhere which stops any positive pressure going to the servo. Which is why even with the engine off you sill have enough servo vacuume to press the pedal about 4 times before it goes hard.

Well once I get the bloody noise my 330mm brembos are making sorted out I'll try messing about with it all and see what happens. Worst would be I get a heavy pedal. I've still managed press the brake pedal hard enough to lock the front wheels being towed in a ca with no engine running before lol.

these engines produce a weak vacuum that's why the vacuum pump is placed

Yet an xsi doesn't have one? I've always thought it odd. When on over-run at Half revs there's s**te loads of vac according to my boost gauge. Will keep the vac pump and ditch the inlet part when I get Hold of some pipes that won't collapse under vac.
