Does anyone know if the gti6 block/bottom end fit direct to the s16 cylinder head?

Well at least you can't do it the other way around as the oil and water ways don't line up.

Mrs wampy is talking bo***cks.

However it is not advisable as you would lose compression with an s16 head, of course if you drop s16 pistont and rods in or aftermarket on gti6 rods then all good, other than oil issues.

Its an MI16 with a cast steel block, so same oil issues as those, just not quite so bad, apparently.

Though I have two dead ones, and am running a gti6...

The S16 head on a XU10 block is a good combo though, after compression has been corrected of course?

if bolted over RFS pistons yes.

its a good head but flawed, the main reason the later 16v XU's are quite different, and then the EW an evolution of the same later type head in essence.

The thing is when i get forged pistons and rods from a rfs what cr would i get with s16 head say 12.2 wossner pistons?
Will be fitted with kentcams pt2002. But I think that a cr of 12.2 would be a bit high for such cams would be better around 11.0 to 11.5 i think

ITB would be great but here in switzerland impossible to get these immatriculated. So i have to stay with mods that are not so much visible to the eye Thumbs up

92mm crank, custom long rods (160+), 87 mm pistons, forget cheap stuff like pec and wossner, it is worth saving more and getting the likes of cp omega or similar pistons and farndon or carillo rods.

That should get you over 200 on mild cams quite easily and be very reliable.

Use the rfs inlet.

Over here it is, you'd need to look into whether you can find anyone in your country/area that can, it's a BOSCH MP 5.2 on the RFY iirc..

So a build with such a crank would give 88mm, what conrods would be necessary with this crank does this work with xu10j4rs spec rods and wossner high comp pistons?

it would not work with std spec rods+pistons of course, given the extra 1mm in height @ TDC

so the easiest version so far would still be a build with standard rfs spec rods with forged wossner high comp pistons. Straight fit only problem with the high compression ratio of 12.2 of the wossner pistons? but given the s16 head would still be a bit lower than 12.2 without machining because of the head design the s16 has.
what would be a good cr for kentcams pt2002?
If it matters I use this car as a daily driver.
