Finally got round to mopping my 6. No where near as satisfying as mopping darker coloured cars, as darker colours always come up deeper and shinier.

Still came up nice, though.

If I had a moonstone I'd clean it with a Brillo pad and paint stripper or abrasives and 60psi

You Jest, a mate of mines mum cleaned her golf with a pan scrubber after she couldn't get all the tree sap off it last year... whoops! It was only 6 months old too LOL

I see this quite a lot: people get small scratches/bird-lime/road tar, on their paintwork, and try and Brillo-pad it off. Idiots. LOL

I didn't want to state the obvious, but the Scandinavian one seemed confused. Ok, I'm confused, again.

I've no idea. I liked the idea of anthracite, but think it looks slightly to dark on a moonstone. I started with Mini 'dark silver' and just tweaked it a little. No one will ever no. LOL

When I painted the wing mirrors, the closest I got to he wheels and badge, was BMW silver grey. It's darker and less green, but not a million miles out.

I've always used Chicago Pneumatic mops, and 3m polishes. Neither are the cheapest, but I think the mop is fantastic, and light, so you don't f**k your back up. And 3m do the best polishes I've used. It goes on nice, wipes of easy and doesn't stain your plastics and rubbers, like other products I've used on the past.

It grieves me to say it, but the Mrs' car came out the best. Piece of s**t Vauxhall.
