i am the proud owner of a gti 6 blaze but how do i know which one it is? i see all this talk of phase 1,2 and 2.5? shed some light any one?

Phase 2.5 doesn't really exist. It's just a term people use for describing late phase 2 cars that had some phase 3 cosmetic parts fitted from the factory as they changed over to the newer parts.________________________________________ Rich |

My S reg had the the P2.5 boot lid i.e. looked like a phase 3 item but had the phase 2 wiper arm, spoiler and the trim around the rear window... Just didn't have the trim along the bottom.Late Phase 2 ('Phase 2.5'  ... Phase 3 1999>...  ________________________________________ I Live for the 306 TEAM CHERRY PINK RALLYE 2008 BMW ///M 320d |

My Rallye's boot is a Ph2.5, same as ari's with the wiper arm, trim around window but no boot strip. Think that might be because all Rallyes did though?________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

Never noticed the window rubber before... I know it's on my phase 2 Gti thought it would be on the hdi as well but. I presume not...________________________________________ Black power baby! My first rallye had a phase 2 wiper whereas my latest one had a phase 3, the manufacture dates for all the parts in the latest one are for late Dec '98 so I presume it was put together in early '99.________________________________________ '90 1.6 205 GTi, '98 306 GTi-6 |

I have seen a good few Rallyes with the phase 3 boot but most have the late phase 2 spec (as above) I believe. where as Sam's is now sporting an original phase 2 item  I like the fact you have used the Phase 1 boot button surround Miles! ________________________________________ I Live for the 306TEAM CHERRY PINK RALLYE 2008 BMW ///M 320d |
