Hi guys,
Is there a way to fit a ph3 spoiler on a ph2 GTi-6? I know the ph2 goes through the glass and ph3 through the bootlid but is there a way to bodge it? If not, can I use a bootlid from a ph3 1.6 with a ph3 spoiler on a GTi-6 or does the doner have to be one?

Thanks

You can drill the tailgate to match the ph3 spoilerYes

You will be left with holes in your screen you will need to block from the ph2 spoilerWink

If you don't want to drill your tailgate Tiger Seal or any PU adhesive will hold it on easily, but you will struggle to remove it if needed in the future!Smile

Any ph3 hatch that had a spoiler fitted as standard will be fineThumbs up Not all ph3's had spoilers thoughNo

Hmm thanks for that. Any idea how much a respray would be for a tailgate? Would plugging the glass cause any problems?

Be alot cheaper finding a tailgate in the correct colourYes

Just get some grommets to block up the holes, and put a smear of silicone/Tiger Seal on them will do the jobThumbs up

Hmm, the holes would probably be hidden by the new spoiler, am I right? As long as it's not hideous I don't mind. Wouldn't want most people seeing the bodge haha.
