Funny thing is I read the info the tyre supplier had on the PS3's and it says they are brilliant at tackling standing water without aqua-planing etc. yet under the new euro ratings they are an "E" rating in the wet?? Which is shocking.

PE2's are "B" rated in wet....

Our tyre wholesalers database must be incorrect as everywhere else is showing them A rate in wet which makes more sense. May invest in a pair for the beast but £110 a pop cheapest available for 205/40/17

Fitted they would be £126 each in that size. However I will fit them myself this afternoon so total cost was about £105.20 each delivered.

Unless their energy saving s**te tyres the fuel efficiency is always bad. Apparently it's such a tiny percentage anyway it near as damn it makes hardly any difference. Could be a little quieter though.

I would like to give you guys an update on the new rubber but as the car is struggling with a wheel wobble I can't really comment. Going back to the same place in the morning hopefully to get the wheels balanced better... Why is it such a pain...Dunno

Because their s**t? Lol

What wheels have you got? Cyclones? If so they probably can't balance them as they don't have centre caps.

If you want them balanced correctly come see me or find a better tyre place Wink

The tyre place is a good one... Just hoping they were rushed in doing the balancing as I said I had to go back to work...

Yeah they aren't great, hoping a wheel is not bent me and my old man visually inspected them and they all seemed straight.

I might hold you to that mate as you are not that far from me, in fact a couple of Sunday's ago I was in Crowborough...

Yeh that's ok. They can be a pain to balance even with the correct bolt on hub for the balancer. Don't often work weekends though but I'm down there today getting mine and Aaron's ready for pugfest Big grin

Well the good news is after taking the car back and re-balancing of first the fronts then the rears for free (both were out). The car is now wobble free and once again a joy to drive. Big grin

Good news mate. Even the massive tyre company I used to use before I could fit them messed one of mine up previously. Since I've been fitting tyres I've never had a customer return with wheel wobble once so I can only assume its pure laziness or they have crap machines.

Just picked up two pilot sport 3s in 195/45/16. I phoned about 5 places and only one could get hold of them so i assume they are still a bit of a bas**rd to get hold of! Anyway, got them on the front and they are so much better than my old eagle F1s! Will be going back payday for two more for the rear
