I've had pe2's on for about 2 months or 3,000 miles so far and they are pretty good, never let go in all weather standing starts and under some aggressive cornering, shame they are discontinuing as they are a nice balance between performance and cost!

PE2's have previously been made in small batches in 195/55/15's
I emailed Michelin for eta ... 'sadly michelin do not make these anymore' Thumbs down .... energy savers are now the only michelin option for standard size.

Just bagged four, F1 Autocentres are doing them at £63-50 ea. (50 profile) with free wheel alignment 'check' and screenwash top-up. Not bad. Yes

No clicky as it's all java-based, but they don't have 55 profile and they also do RainSport 2s for £50-50 ea.

Supersports are for much larger sizes. I can get those if you need them.
Pilot sport 3s are the best tyre I've ever driven in 16+17" for all round daily driving. With sportcontact 3s coming a close second.

Thats what im saying, Most tyres sizes replaced the PE2 with PS3's ages ago
But PS3's never made it to 15"

Now as its an old tyre PE2's are slowing being killed off in general.

Ad08s or give up and get another wheel in a bigger size like what im doing, Enjouy added benifit of being able to fit massive brakes at the same time.
Personally im going ad08's in 205/45/16 when i wear away these tyres

I saw them for cheaper than that,
Plus PE2s were always around 100 anyway.

hence why i never bought them. hardly going to buy 4 tyres for 500. which is basically the value of the car.

It bothers me when people winge about servicing/expected costs and relate them to the value of the car.
Its pretty illogical in my eyes.

No matter how cheap or expensive your car is, Good tyres are always going to cost.
And good tyres are also the cheapest upgrade for your car if you are using something s**t like t1-rs then your not getting the best out of standard setup let alone all the s**t people on here do with roller bearing bushes and shizzle.

At the end of the day with any vehicle of decent performance tyres should be a prioroity

If you need em now then phone round all major tyre centres / online dealers etc. Bound to be some around the Island and most places will transport them to your local fitter.

I got 2 from ATS few months ago, just under £200 incl re-alignment (was way off!), ATS have lots of discount vouchers on their website that you print off. Went with them as they had positive feedback on here for ability to balance cyclones.

So Michelin are leaving the 15" Sports tyre sector alone, are they?

Yeah,
Most companies are really,
Rainexperts are everywhere but you'll struggle finding Rainsport2's now.
No one makes cars with 15" wheels that arent econo boxes these days.
Boggo hatches are 16" or more
